Tool room Engineer for Die Casting Company in Chennai


  • Comply with in house HSE rules and regulations.
  • Manage tool room by setting up right min/max level on tooling required.
  • Propose and implement new tooling systems in order to improve machining process in terms of time and quality from time to time.
  • Design jigs and fixtures required for machining processes.
  • Design special tools required for machining processes.
  • Assist programmers with tooling selection.
  • Prepare and maintain standard tooling list for all the machine tools.
  • Create tooling list for each program being created.
  • Making sure tooling’s required for each job is ready up front before the job commenced.
  • Improve measuring techniques from time to time.
  • Should perform any other assignments given within machine shop



  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or machining with 1 year of minimum experience in tool room
  • Deep knowledge in machining processes and cutting tools
  • Good skill in reading, measuring and interpreting measuring equipments
  • Familiar with engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances
  • Competent in normal PC applications
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in Tool room
  • Must be a team player
  • Flexible attitude towards work and an eagerness to learn new skills
